J. D. Mason is a 2012 graduate of Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business (B.S., Marketing), and a 2017 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he was the Editor-In-Chief for the Journal of Technology Law and Policy. 

While at Penn State, Mr. Mason was a member of the Nittany Lions football team and received Academic All-Big Ten honors. Between his undergraduate and legal studies, Mr. Mason worked in the banking sector.

Mr. Mason is a commercial litigator and corporate transactions attorney. He specializes in representing businesses in the transportation sector, and concentrates on automotive dealers. He has represented his clients in state and federal court, as well as before state agencies, and focuses on contracts, commercial litigation, and franchise disputes with manufacturers and distributors. 

In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Mason has represented buyers and sellers in the purchase of over 100 businesses – most of which were franchised automotive dealerships.

Prior to joining Evans, Jones & Reynolds, Mr. Mason practiced with the law firm of Cameron Worley, P.C. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Beth, and their young daughter. Mr. Mason also enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, hiking and any other excuse that gets him outdoors.
